Welcome our New Head Chef, Troy Villanueva

We’re SO excited to introduce you all to our new Kitchen Manager and Head Chef, Troy Villanueva!
Before joining the Flathead Lake Brewing Pubhouse, he worked at Michigan State University, in Residential & Hospitality Services where he trained student employees in Culinary Arts. Troy has been a Chef in Montana and Washington DC, but most of his culinary career has been spent in Michigan.
From short order cooking and casinos, to country clubs and fine dining, Troy has dabbled in a variety of kitchens and cuisines. He draws inspiration from his diverse upbringing, where a typical day was eating delicious Mexican food prepared by his mother. Chef Troy sees food as an event you can share with anyone, but it’s best with your closest friends and family. When Troy first visited the Flathead Valley, he knew this is where he had to be. Food is family.
Troy obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Strategic Communication from Michigan State University. When Troy isn’t working, he enjoys traveling and trying new cuisines, sporting events, concerts, and jumping in Flathead Lake on a sunny day!
