We have an exciting announcement! The Flathead Lake Brewing Co. has started canning the Two Rivers Pale. Our bright, medium-bodied American Pale Ale pays tribute to the two rivers that flow into Flathead Lake: The Swan and The Flathead. The lively pine, citrus, and floral hop aroma combines with a slight malt sweetness that lingers into the finish and compliments the bitterness representative of the style. Canning the Two Rivers Pale adds another compliment to this beer, putting it in the perfect vessel to take out on the river or other outdoor pursuits.
Two Rivers Pale 6 packs will be available for sale beginning Friday, April 22nd. Because that is Earth Day, and cans are the ultimate sustainable packaging, we have decided to donate 25% of all Two Rivers Pale can sales to the Montana Land Reliance.
“The Montana Land Reliance was founded in 1978 and since then has conserved over 958,000 acres in over 820 voluntary easement agreements across the state of Montana. The organization and its employees have also been instrumental in policy decisions regarding private land conservation, and have a meaningful presence in the national land conservation community.”
Stop in this Friday and pick up a 6 pack or so and help us donate to preserving open spaces in Montana!
Why did we start canning?
- Cans keep out light and prevent beer from skunking
- Cans go where bottles don’t. Take them up the mountain, down the river and across the lake without worrying about breakage. When you’re done crush ‘em down and pack ‘em out
- Aluminum cans are 100% recyclable. 75% of all aluminum that has ever been produced is still in use today (www.cancentral.com/sustainability)
- Cans take less energy to produce, ship and refrigerate than glass bottles.
