Fourth of July is right around the corner! Bigfork is the place to be to celebrate our country’s independence. Head downtown for the parade beginning at noon. We’ll be there with our dragon boat all decked out in red, white, and brew! The Fourth of July Parade in Bigfork has been voted “Best Parade in the Flathead” year after year. This year’s parade will celebrate the PRCA Bigfork Summer Rodeo, that will be held July 6th and 7th, with a “Western Stars and Stripes” theme. Hey Flathead Lake Brewing Co. beer fans! We have started canning our first Belgian beer in cans, the Swimmer’s Itch Saison. This beer is light, refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to all of your summer adventures! Our Belgian-style Swimmer’s Itch Saison is a liquid ode to summertime on Flathead Lake. Swimming in the lake in the summer is one of the greater adventures of living in the Treasure State. The Belgian yeast strain produces loads of fruity esters, with clove and banana in the forefront. Sweet orange peel and coriander add a citrusy/spicy character that rounds out this classic style.

Some of our Flathead Lake Brewing Co. crew recently had the pleasure of attending the Brewers Association’s Craft Beer Conference in Nashville, Tennessee! In year’s past we have sent brewers to attend the conference, but this year we had a couple of our people from our sales and marketing team to attend. It was quite amazing to be included in the 14,000+ attendees, their biggest conference yet! The Montana Sustainabrew Award was created to highlight a Montana brewery for their efforts in sustainability and to demonstrate that business decisions made with sustainability and conservation in mind are good for their beer, their business and their community. On April 24th, we were honored with receiving this inaugural award sponsored by the Montana Brewers Association, the Montana Conservation Fund, and the Montana Association for Renewable Energy.
